Congratulations to Chris James – Winner of ‘Surrey 40 Under 40’ Business Award

 

Chris James, Gold-i’s CTO has been awarded a ‘Surrey 40 Under 40’ Business Award in recognition of his achievements at Gold-i, having progressed from University of Surrey intern to a Board level position in less than a decade.

 

The award was organised by Invest in Surrey to recognise the 40 most innovative individuals who live or work in Surrey, and showcase the achievements of the next generation of young entrepreneurs.

 

Chris was introduced to Gold-i when he did a placement in 2012 as an Electronic Engineering undergraduate. After graduating in 2013, he joined the Gold-i team as a Quality Assurance Analyst and was promoted a number of times in quick succession as a result of his in-depth technical knowledge and business acumen. He was promoted to his current role, Chief Technology Officer in May 2018 and currently manages a team of over 20 people, with responsibility for Client Support, Software Development, Quality Assurance and Operations & Onboarding. He is also on the Gold-i Management Board and plays a key role in creating and implementing Gold-i’s product strategy.
