We Are The Gold-i Team
Gold-i Foundation
The Gold-i Foundation for Innovation was set up in July 2015 and officially launched by the Mayor of Guildford. It aims to help charities and local organisations within our Surrey-based community to push boundaries and do something innovative or remarkable.
Our Fund is administered by the Community Foundation for Surrey and so far we have supported many inspiring initiatives including funding a high tech library at a school for children with learning needs and a pioneering programme at a horse sanctuary to help young people with social or emotional difficulties.
We have a team of people at Gold-i, from across all areas of the business, who have volunteered to help select which funding applications to support. They also visit the projects when we donate the money and re-visit them to see how the initiatives we have supported have evolved.
Gold-i Foundation - QEF
For the past year, all employees at Gold-i Ltd have been raising money to build a Bugzi! The Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) and MERU, provide a powered indoor chair for children aged one to five, allowing children with disabilities to experience independent mobility. And we are proud to announce that we've successfully raised enough money to deliver a Bugzi to a new family.
Charity Events
The Fun Committee organised a Rugby Sweep Stake and Rugby Food Day on the 16th of October. Employees brought in food representing one of the Rugby teams.
Money raised will go to QEF.
Employees transformed into Christmas Elves on the 27th of November. They adapted and packaged toys at the MERU centre in aid of QEF and MERU for children with complex disabilities.
We will be holding a World Food Day on the 6th of March. Employees can bring in food from around the world to help raise money towards our fundraising target for QEF's Care and Rehabilitation Centre.
